Need To Talk?

A program for middle school students that provides them access to a toll free, anonymous and confidential help line to discuss any problems they may be experiencing.  Has served nearly 10,000 students since 2002.

Kid Track: The DNA Child Safety/ID Program

The most comprehensive child safety and identification program offered in the community, provided at no cost to all parents.  Families receive a child safety journal, a digital photograph, a DVD recording, and a home DNA kit for each child in the family.  Dozens of educational publications assist parents in protecting their children and easing parental stresses.  Over 1,000 families and 1,700 children have participated since the program's creation in 2005.  Corporate site sponsors welcomed.

Baby Safety Showers

First Steps Parents of Newborns Program
Hospital based, volunteer driven, parent support program.  Trained volunteers called "parent coaches" visit new families in the hospital setting and provide emotional support, a gift pack of parent educational materials, and links to community resources.  Volunteers follow up with the new family by phone for a minimum of three months.  Since the program's beginning in October 2003 over 4,000 families have been visited by First Steps parent coaches.  For more info call 912-819-6911 or visit
